Based on 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier co-fermented, aged 18 months in 50% new French oak with one-third whole cluster, the 2022 Syrah Chaba offers gorgeous, northern Rhône-like aromatics of ripe blackberries, liquid violets, black pepper, and bouquet garni. It's medium-bodied, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, ripe yet building tannins, and good acidity. This beauty will drink nicely over the coming 10-12 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

This wine has a bright, ruby red color.  On the nose, earthy, woodsy aromas are joined by dark berries and notes of dried meats and mocha powder.  The wine exhibits medium to full body with velvety tannins and a juicy, mouthwatering finish due to flinty, crisp acidity.  This is a wine that will work on practically any occasion, with a wide variety of foods. 

This wine has a glass staining dark ruby red color.  The aroma jumps from the glass and is filled with ripe red fruits, cassis, leather and a bit of spicy white pepper.  The woodsy aromatics are derived from both a bit of new French oak and the varietals themselves.  On the palate the wine is generous but firm with sweet, sappy fruit and savory spice.  It’s obvious there was a good deal of tannin here as the wine has great power but a lengthy stay in barrel has softened into to a plush, mouth coating richness.  Expect this wine to age well for 15+ years. 

Dark, ruby red color in the glass.  The nose is unmistakably Bordeaux in character.  It offers up cassis and currents, with a woodsy tobacco and cedary oak profile. On the pallet, more red fruits and a graphite note are framed by a medium to full-bodied mouth feel. The wine has smooth, polished tannins and terrific length.  It should develop well for the next two decades or more.
