Ruby red to deep garnet in color. The nose is floral and lifted with fresh red fruits and a brambly, fresh cut wood quality. High toned fresh red fruits, like raspberries and cherries dominate the mid-palate along with a dose of savory, earthy spice that becomes enveloped in a round, glossy mouthfeel. The finish is lengthy and rich and will benefit from bottle age.
It has an expressive nose of blackberries, blueberries and black cherry. Complimenting the fruit are aromas of leather and spice and a woodsy, earthiness from the use of stems. This is rich, earthy, food friendly Syrah at it’s best.
This wine has an inky, dark red to purple color. On the nose, classic dark-skinned fruits like black cherry, plum and black berries mingle with dried meats and leathery earthiness. Stem inclusion is obvious, adding to the spicy/earthy aroma as well as adding a good dose of tannin. On the palate, more of those dark fruits are present wrapped in a rich, velvety swath of tannin. The finish on this wine is very long and I especially love the well-developed integration of fruit, stems and acid, all working in harmony with one another to help it linger on your palate well after you’ve swallowed.
