2021 Crawford Family Wines, Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine was born out of a fun project that we did for a client who owns a terrific and older Bordeaux varietal vineyard on the east side of the Los Olivos District.  We have always specialized in cool climate varietals, but I started my wine career in Sonoma making Cabernet and Merlot and then made those wines alongside Brian Babacock at his winery when we first moved here.  So, I’m no stranger to these wines and a few years ago I agreed to produce Cabernet for a new client, despite my initial reservations about how it would align with our brand.  I had always told him I didn’t see it fitting in our line-up but that I would keep an open mind and see.  Well, I really liked what we produced, and I’m excited to share it with you now.
