2014 Pinot Noir, Walk Slow
The 2014 Walk Slow Pinot Noir is a blend of Babcock and Bentrock Vineyard’s fruit. It has a rich, shimmering, ruby red color. There is terrific perfume on this wine. Spicy, woodsy, with black cherry and dark raspberry aromas along with a bit of earthy black tea and underbrush from 30% whole cluster fermentation. On the palate cherries come through as well as pomegranate and the classic Sta. Rita cola/clove spice. This wine has great balance on the palate. The sweet fruit in the wine plays perfectly alongside a firm, mouthwatering dose of acidity. There is a definite savory quality on the finish that is due to that stem inclusion during fermentation. This wine should age gracefully for a decade.
