Last year we pieced together a Rosé from several different fermentations of both Pinot Noir and Grenache and we completely lucked out that it made a really tasty wine. For 2015 we set out to make a much more purposeful version of our Rosé. We sourced Grenache from a vineyard right in the middle of the Santa Ynez Valley that had been selling its fruit to a big winery from out of the area for years. They backed out of their contract and we were right there to jump in. We picked early to maintain bright acidity and to promote a fresh and vibrant wine. The result is delicious and it remains our favorite Spring/Summer wine. Provided there’s still some available come Summer time!
