Grown on a steep, rocky slope on the western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills, this Bentrock Vineyard Pinot Noir exhibits the earthy, crushed stone minerality that we look for in great Pinot Noir.
On the palate the wine is crisp, bright and lifted. It comes across fresh and driven by red fruits, minerality and juicy acidity. The finish is clean and soft and lingers due to a slight dose of stem tannin.
This wine is always a blend of a couple of vineyards that we think work well together. It is 70% Bentrock with 30% Babcock rounding it off.
